Why have I been invited to take part in Shopper Thoughts? Go to top
If you have been invited to join Shopper Thoughts it’s because you are registered with one of our partner’s such as Tesco.com and we thought you’d be interested in being a part of our research panel, where you get to take part in a wide range of surveys and get rewarded for your time. We have only chosen people who have indicated that they are happy to take part in market research.
Can anyone join Shopper Thoughts? Go to top
We accept all types of people to Shopper Thoughts, but unfortunately we cannot accept those aged under 18 years.
How long will a survey take? Go to top
We'll let you know how long a survey should take so you can decide whether or not you have time to complete it. Generally they'll last between 5 and 20 minutes. You can monitor how far you are through a survey by the progress bar on the survey page.
How long do I have to complete the survey? Go to top
Each survey is only open for a short time so we can react quickly to your views. You will find the closing date on the email invitation you receive. We will send a reminder email a few days before the closing date so that you don't lose the opportunity to receive extra points or entry to a prize draw, depending on the type of survey.
How often will I receive surveys? Go to top
You will be given regular opportunities to take part in surveys which are relevant to you.
Do I have to take part in all surveys? Go to top
You are completely free to choose whether to participate in any of the surveys we send.
Why am I sometimes kicked out of surveys I’ve been invited to take part in? Go to top
We always aim to send you surveys that are relevant to you. In some surveys there are different routes that can be taken, and a desired number of responses per route. If you do not meet the criteria of any of the possible survey routes, or if the route that you fit into has already reached its maximum number of responses then you will not be able to complete the rest of the survey. We will usually determine whether you are eligible for the survey or not within the first 2 to 4 questions.
How many Points will I receive? Go to top
The number of Points may vary, typically you will receive 100 Points for a 15 minute survey. The amount will be clearly stated before you start any survey. There will be some short surveys where you will not be allocated points. You will be entered into a prize draw instead. Each time you complete a survey offering a prize draw in a calendar month you will be entered into that month's prize draw. There will be a monthly draw for prizes ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 points.
When will I get my Points? Go to top
If you are a member of the Clubcard Points scheme your points will be given in the next available Clubcard Statement. Bear in mind that some surveys may be taken at the same time as we are preparing your Statement, so the Points may not appear on the first Statement after you take a survey. Rest assured we keep track of your Clubcard Points and when they are allocated. If you are a member of the Shopper Thoughts Points Scheme you will receive a voucher once you have reached 1,000 points.
Prize draw winners Go to top
Each month we will publish the first name and region of the winners and runner-ups of our prize draws. If you are a winner or runner-up you will be given the option to opt out of having your first name and region published by email. We will never publish information that could be used to identify you personally.
Why are there two different incentive schemes? Go to top
Those who are registered as Clubcard customers will be given a choice of signing up to receive Clubcard Points or Shopper Thoughts Points for taking part in surveys. Those who are not as identified as Clubcard customers when registering on the Shopper Thoughts panel will be allocated to the Shopper Thoughts Points scheme.
Can I change the incentive scheme I’m on? Go to top
Each panel member is given the option to select either the Clubcard scheme or the Shopper Thoughts scheme during the sign up process. You must enter a valid Clubcard number to be able to select the Clubcard scheme. Once you are signed up to the panel you are unable to switch the scheme you are on. The only way to do so would be to DPA remove your existing panel account and sign up again, this time selecting the other scheme. It is worth noting that by removing your existing panel account and re-signing up you would lose any points earned on your original account.
Where is my voucher? Go to top
If you are on the Shopper Thoughts scheme and have earned or won a voucher we will notify you by email. You should expect to receive your voucher within 2 weeks of receiving the email. If you find that you have not received your voucher after this period of time please contact us by following the ‘contact us’ link on our website. Once your voucher query has been logged someone will investigate this for you.
Why are my Clubcard points not going onto my Clubcard? Go to top
If you are on the Clubcard scheme the points you earn will be given to you when you receive your quarterly statement from Tesco. If you win a prize draw or participate in a survey close to when you are due to receive your quarterly statement they may not appear until the following quarterly statement. If you find that you are never receiving the Clubcard points you earn please let us know by following the ‘contact us’ link on our website and we will investigate this for you.
Why would you reject someone that you've invited to participate? Go to top
We have to ask questions to qualify your eligibility; for example you need to be 18 or over and we must have your consent to the terms and conditions of participation. To be representative of all customers, we're limiting members to one per household. Please don't be offended if at this time it is not appropriate to include you in Shopper Thoughts.
